The Paulownia tree grows over large areas east of the Mississippi River. The tree is not indigenous to North America. It may have come to this land years ago when a ship, from the orient. sailed up the Mississippi  and the tiny tree seeds drifted in the prevailing winds and scattered to the northeast. Also, the tree is known as the Empress tree in Japan, and is highly valued for its beautiful delicate wood. Our logo is the Paulownia bloom and foliage, it also serves a the seal of the Japanese Shogun.
